These videos have a handcrafted feel that only real, physical film can create, paired with a clarity approaching what digital can do. A wedding film shot on 16mm film finds a beautiful balance between character and sharpness – real enough not to feel clinical but clear enough to hold its own in a digital world.

what is 16mm film?
16mm film was first developed by Kodak in the mid 1920s, but it wasn’t until the 50s it really came to life. It’s roughly double the size of super8, which makes everything just that bit clearer and sharper, meaning keeps all that character film is known for while upping the ante in terms of quality and resolution.
I use a beautiful fully mechanical 1950s Bolex camera, combined with the same state-of-the-art scanning and editing technology as super8 to bring beautiful videos with a hand crafted and nostalgic feel. I’ll generally shoot one or two rolls of 16mm film throughout the day, before taking them to be hand-developed and scanned in stunning high resolution.
what’s included?
All of my video packages include a high resolution scan of your film – given to you in a digital file for you to use to share the day with your nearest and dearest. I’ll will also license music for your video so that you can share it on all of your socials without having to worry about any copyright issues.
